An Idea Is Born

I am an idea person. I get ideas constantly. Some ideas hit me out of no where. Some ideas I can trace back the origin of the idea and see exactly where it began to build.

I’ve been formulating this idea in the back of my mind. One that has reared its head multiple times and I brush it off and say “maybe someday”. Good ideas are persistent. They keep showing up time and time again. Sometimes little signs remind you of an idea and you can say your excuse not to chase the idea and it goes away. Sometime the idea doesn’t come back for some time. And other times, these good ideas continue to surface and nudge you like a small child saying “hey, pay attention to me!!! Chase me!!!”

So I have this idea. One that will take time, energy, and resources, but it’s continued to show up. When I think the idea has gone somewhere else and to someone else, it comes back to me.

I tend to keep ideas to myself. Or I share them with family or close friends. This idea has been brought up subtly to my husband and my close friends in one way shape or form, but I continue to tell myself, “I don’t want to add to the noise.”

This idea has been (hypothetically) jumping up and down and slapping me in the face. It’s impossible to mute this idea and push it to the side.

I am going to chase this idea. I am going to give it the time, energy, and resources it deserves. I am not sure where it will go, but I do know my intention is to add value to those around me.

Our family adores laughing and having a good time. We do have serious moments and deep conversations as well. We are a multifaceted family that loves life and all of it’s twists and turns.

My idea involves my family, laughing, loving, true life moments, and real, authentic love.

So what is my idea? What idea has kept me up at night, knocking on my door, and won’t leave me alone?

Our family started a video blog, also known as a vlog – Team Tanck.

I struggled with a title that can be all encompassing. Something that doesn’t limit us to one specific topic, one that allows for growth and development, and one that leaves a lot of room for failure, and success. When I sat down and meditated on this idea, I had a very clear title that has already been used before. One that we have been embracing and sporting for multiple years – Team Tanck.

Team Tanck has two posts created and more are coming to you each Sunday! As you might have noticed “Soulfullyspeaking.org” was updated to “TeamTanck.com”. This allows us to have all of our content and goodness under one name. What I can promise you is there will be lots of laughter, joy, thought provoking content, and most importantly love.

From our family to yours, let’s see where the updated Team Tanck will take us.
