Eradicate Hatred

Trevor and I enjoy playing the question game with one another.

Any question is fair game and this one came up several years ago:

“If you could change one thing in the world right now, what would it be?”

The standard answer is something along the lines of:

“I’d give everyone access to clean water.”

“I’d strike out hunger.”

“I’d stop human trafficking.”

“I’d give everyone an equal opportunity for success.”

But my husband, being the amazing man he is, eloquently answered the question this way:

“I’d erase hatred, completely. All the problems we currently face wouldn’t exist.

With this one solution, all problems are solved.”

We have the power and ability to erase hatred from our hearts and minds.

We have the ability to raise a population to be better and do better than we are.

We have the ability to make change.

And the change has to start within our own hearts.

Let’s eradicate hatred, permanently, and replace it with love and compassion.

We need to evolve and rise above the injustices within our current world.

This is our duty as humans.
