God, Guide Me

When I feel lost and out of sorts, which is often, I am turning to a simple prayer: “God, guide me.”

I don’t know the answers.

I don’t know what to do most of the time.

I get upset.

I get angry.

I am flawed.

I am imperfect.

I am human.

But I have a God that is everything I am not.

I have a gracious, loving God who knows the answers even when I don’t.

So I turn to Him.

I get out of my human, “all knowing”, “always right” brain and give the power to God (it was always His to begin with).

God, guide me.

Show me what needs to be done.

Give me a sign on what I should do.

Help me, because I sometimes cannot help myself.

God, be with me.

God, love me.

God, guide me.

After my short prayer, I take a deep, belly breath and I move forward - with grace, with grounding, with love.

I can move forward because I know God is behind me, He is beside me, He is with me - Always and forever.
