Our team set a New Years goal of reducing our plastic usage and we have had a BLAST finding and using alternatives.
The current world we live in is riddled with plastic. From hygiene products to food containers, plastic is everywhere.
We all know that reducing waste, reusing, and recycling is good for our planet, but when it comes time to actually doing these simple things, we seem to like convenience over sustainability. No one is perfect, and we aren’t striving for perfection, just mindful, slow, living with the planet in mind whenever we consume.
Our family has two beautiful kids, age three and nine months, and we see the need for change to keep our Earth clean and green.
Here are a few swaps that we have made:
Waste Not LLC composting - We get a bucket once a week to fill with compostable items and they pick it up AND compost it FOR YOU! It‘s truly the best $4 we spend a week.
