Own Less, Live more, Love more

I recently read the book “Minimalista” by Shira Gill. Many pieces of this book resonated with me, but this idea stopped me in my tracts.

“Once you realize that you ultimately have to manage every single thing in your home, you might want to strongly consider owning less stuff.”

“When you own less, you have to manage less.”

*Pause and re-read those lines*

Less stuff = Less to manage

Less to manage means more energy, resources, TIME!

Oftentimes we say “I wish I had more time.”

Wish granted! Own less stuff, manage less stuff, discover more time.

I don’t want to manage every little thing that exists in my house (and we became minimalists YEARS ago!)

We have used this idea and gone through our space. (Minimalism is truly a journey, not a destination. It’s a conscious choice to choose less.)

Anything I pick up that doesn’t serve a purpose or that takes time away has been donated or re-homed.

More time and experiences with my family is something I value. No physical object can fulfill that value for me, so I’m letting them go.

Own less, live more, love more.

TANCKS for reading!
