We can’t spend our way to a simplified life.
I was listening to The Minimalists podcast the other day and this idea came into my brain space.
We live in a world that tells us we need to spend money to have a bigger, better, more fulfilling life.
We think we can spend our way to happiness and the truth is - happiness isn’t found within a store.
You can buy all the right things and have a photo worthy life and still feel empty, depleted, and lacking.
Owning less has cleared up our lives for more.
More family time.
More outside experiences.
More compassion - for ourselves and others.
More home cooked meals.
More financial savings.
More laughter.
More peace.
More tranquility.
No organizing bin or system will create contentment in your life.
No item on the store shelf will bring you whatever the advertisers have “sold” you on.
You have the ability to have more: Own less, consume less, spend less, and see how much MORE your life is.
TANCKS for reading.
