The other day my husband asked, “What do we have this weekend?”
My response, “Nothing, we have nothing planned for several weekends in a row.”
Some internal responses to reading we have nothing planned:
“I wish I had open weekends.”
“My schedule hasn’t been open for a decade.”
“I’m always busy.”
Fighting the urge to do, do, do and fill our schedules to the brim with activities is extremely difficult.
We live in a society that encourages being worn out, over booked, and lacking sleep.
We are told the fuller your schedule, the higher your worth. This is an idea I disagree with wholeheartedly.
Your worth doesn’t come from doing, your worth comes from being.
You are a human being, not a human doing.
Be present.
Be here.
Be now.
Just be.
Be. TANCKS for reading!
