This Is Our Year

2020 has thrown a lot at us.

I am not the first or last person to share this statement with you.

We have ALL been through a lot.

We are ALL coping with a loss of some sort.

We are ALL craving connection and in person interaction.

We are ALL in this situation together.

We have the ability to re-frame our thoughts therefore rewriting the narrative to our life at anytime.

Why not take this time to create a lasting impact in our life and in someone else’s life.

Many of us have had to cancel plans, reschedule vacations, mourn the loss of someone, grieve over lost jobs, and love one another from afar.

This is causing us to expand and evolve the way we operate.

Growing and change is always uncomfortable and it’s always inevitable.

Instead of focusing on everything that isn’t going the way we had hoped, how can we rephrase the internal dialogue to ask:

“What am I to learn from this?”

Ask God, the universe, or a higher power of your understanding:

How can I serve during this time?

How can I love more deeply?

How can I give back to myself and others?

How can I expand into who you and this world need me to be?

How can I do and be better?

Instead of asking, “what can I get out of this circumstance?”

Ask “what can I give to better this situation for all?”

When I get stuck in my head and in my feelings, I try to see how I can better serve others around me.

Our world has a lot of hurt within it.

Our world has a lot of living beings and creatures that need our talents and assistance.

This isn’t a time to stop giving and be fearful of lack.

This is a time to live in the abundance you have been blessed with.

It’s our time to rise up and be bigger than our circumstances.

It’s time to think outside the barricades of our minds and create change.

Our world will not go back to “how it was”.

We have been taught too much during this time to remain the same.

We are seeing injustices clearer now than ever.

We are leaning in, showing up, and doing the work for ourselves and others.

Our present and future isn’t in how things “used to be”.

Let’s take these lessons and growing pains to create a better tomorrow, today.
